Our Program The Evangelical Covenant Church (ECC) Preschool Program is a ministry of our local congregation. Our program is designed to nurture your “whole” child with time and attention being devoted to cognitive development, social and emotional development, and physical development. We are a Christian preschool program and will teach basic Christian principles about God’s love and caring for others. It is not our intent to teach a specific doctrine. Our teacher Doris Sparks is an excellent, experienced early childhood educator. Classes will be held in our new education facility. ECC is located one block south of Vigilante Stadium.

What type of activities will my child be doing? Our classroom teacher will plan a variety of group activities, small group center times, free play, and directed play which will expose your child to literature, music, art, creative play, science, nature and math. Children will be encouraged to explore, ask questions, and try new experiences.

What age children may attend? Our program will serve children ages 3 and 4 years old (must be age 3 by September 10, 2008).

What is the cost of tuition? The monthly tuition is $75 for the Tue-Thurs 3-year-old class and $110 for the M-W-F 4-year-old class. Tuition will be charged for the nine months school is in session, beginning in September. A yearly $40.00 non-refundable enrollment and supply fee will hold a place for your child in the program. Parents will also be expected to serve as an in-class helper one day per month and will be required to complete a volunteer training session prior to serving in the classroom.

When will the program begin? The preschool program will begin on Tuesday, September 2, 2008 and run through May 22, 2009. The classroom hours for the Tue-Thurs class are from 9:00-11:15 AM and the M-W-F class from 9:00-11:30 AM. We will follow the Helena School District calendar concerning holidays, winter and spring breaks, and snow days.
