To the PARENTS:

Thank you so much for your interest in our Tuesday night AWANA Club!
I hope your child is enjoying all the people and fun activities we have for them. Our goal is to help you in leading your child in a closer walk with Jesus. Some of the ways that AWANA helps us to accomplish our goal is that it provides the structure we need to work with your kids.

The AWANA night is basically broken down into three areas: Game Time, Handbook Time, and Council Time. (See clubbers' schedules below)

Game Time gives the opportunity to show the kids how to play cooperatively and to fellowship together.

Handbook Time is a great time for leaders to get to know the kids with them as well as teaching them the truths from God's Word as the kids learn Bible verses.

Council Time includes singing praises, listening to a council speaker tell about how God has changed their lives, and applying the night's theme to the kids' lives.

'Theme?' you ask…well, we do have weekly themes. These themes are designed to help the kids be more connected to the topics the council speaker is communicating to them. The theme schedule is to the left as well as the dinner schedule.

Each night at 5:30 we will have a meal for the clubbers and their families. We will have a charge of $2 per person on a donation basis. This is a little higher than the fall costs due to meals costing more than we were receiving.

If you do not attend the dinner, you may drop your child off in the church lobby at 6pm, as that is the starting time for AWANA. At that point your child will pay their dues (50¢ per night; this amount helps defray the cost of badges, patches, and awards.) Then your child will go into the Sanctuary and sit with their leaders.

The other cost involved with AWANA is for the books and uniforms. The cost for one book and one uniform is $20 total. Checks should be made payable to ECC and given to Angie Lewis. She will be available in the lobby at the beginning and end of each AWANA night. (Limited scholarships may be available; contact Heather.)
